I shut down from work a pinch early yesterday, thinking I\’d rest my eyes.Madam Muse had different plans.As I closed my desktop email, she stirred, sparking words galore. I grabbed my notebook and tried to keep up with her murmurings. I poured out the rest of the story I started late last week, breathing a sigh of relief as the last period dripped from my quill. If you saw the story, you\’d know why that image is most appropriate. But more on that later.It\’s been seven official NaNo days.I closed my eyes and begged Madam to slow down, to not press me further, to let me grasp the tales she spins and get them on the papyrus without cramping my hands. Who knows what the next 23 days will bring?
I wish I could do Nano this year, but I’m sending my MS off to a publisher, beta reading a friend’s sequel (and loving it!!!) and trying to block out my muse who is arguing with herself as to what I should be working on next…project B, or project C. I’m not ready for either yet ~sigh~
